But some of this type of threat, such as the Cool Web Search (CWS) browser hijacker, it also produces pop-up ads for pornography, dozens of favourites or internet shortcuts of some extremely hard-core pornography websites to your Internet Explorer's Favourites folder without asking you. The purpose of this is to force you to visit a website of the hijacker's choice so that they can raise their website's traffic for higher advertising income and can also redirect you to porn websites when you mistype URLs.
