The Management of Racecourse Backpackers Hostel certainly did not add their listing to TripAdvisor websites and without approval. Was also sent multiple emails to subscribe to "Business Listings" from TripAdvisor LLC in early 2011 (View screenshots of an email sent by TA to RBH email account here and here).

Connect on TripAdvisor: useless site in many ways, run by "clueless" "idiots", worst than its parent company Expedia Inc.; a number of tourism businesses get listed on TA without those organisations' permission, authorisation or knowledge, and/or anyone can say what they like without any verification on what they are posting.
