Our hostel is a 17 minute drive to the AMI Stadium where the games will be played in Christchurch and approx. 8 mins drive to the city centre.

From the Airport: about 10 minutes by car

To our hostel from the airport: Take bus number 3, then bus number 83 opposite Church Corner Mall or at Westfield Riccarton Mall on Riccarton Rd.

1. Head northeast on Durey Rd.
2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Memorial Ave.
3. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Russley Rd.
4. Turn left at Yaldhurst Rd.
5. Turn right at Racecourse Rd - Destination will be on the left, we are #130. You can park on the street, or at our car park.
6. Once you see a double storey building with the Racecourse Backpackers Hostel and RoomsToLetNZ.com signs, come to our office. Ring the door bell and we will see you there.

To nearest Supermarket

1. Turn right out of the Hostel and follow Racecourse Rd.
2. Turn right onto Yaldhurst Rd. (as you follow it it will become Riccarton Rd.)
3. Opposite the Church Corner Mall you will see a Countdown supermarket.

From the Train Station

1. Head west on Troup Dr toward Whiteleigh Ave
2. Turn right at Whiteleigh Ave
3. Turn left at Blenheim Rd
4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Epsom Rd
5. Continue straight onto Racecourse Rd
   Destination will be on the right - number 130 Racecourse Rd
6. Once you see a double storey building with the Racecourse Backpackers Hostel and RoomsToLetNZ.com signs, come to our office. Ring the door bell and we will see you there.

To City Centre: about 10 minutes by car

There is a bus to the city just walking distance from the Hostel - along Epsom Road.

1. Turn right out of the Hostel and follow Racecourse Rd.
2. Turn right onto Yaldhurst Rd. (as you follow it it will become Riccarton Rd.)
3. Go through 1 roundabout, crossing Deans Ave, move along Riccarton Ave to arrive in the city centre. The Botanic Gardens and the Avon River are just on the left of Riccarton Ave as you enter the Ctiy Centre.

To University of Canterbury: about 8 minutes by car

There is a bus to University of Canterbury just walking distance from the Hostel - along Epsom Road. Take bus no. 83 at bus stop on Epsom Road, then bus Metrostar at any bus stop along Riccarton Rd before Balgay St.

1. Head northeast on Racecourse Rd toward Wynand Pl.
2. Turn right at Yaldhurst Rd.
3. Turn left at Peer St.
4. Sharp right at Waimairi Rd.
5. Take the 1st left onto Homestead Ln.
6. Turn left at Ilam Rd.
7. Turn right into the car park area before University Drive to arrive at University of Canterbury.

To Lincoln University: about 15 minutes by car

There is a bus to Lincoln University just walking distance from the Hostel - along Epsom Road. Takes about 45 minutes from our hostel. Take bus no. 83 at bus stop on Epsom Road, then bus no. 81 (Selwyn Star, Leopard Coachlines) at Westfield Riccarton Mall, or opposite Church Corner Mall along Riccarton Rd.

1. Turn left out of the Hostel and follow Epsom Rd.
2. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Main South Rd.
3. Turn left at Springs Rd.
   Go through 1 roundabout.
4. Turn right at Ellesmere Junction Rd.
5. Take the 1st left onto Calder Dr to arrive at Lincoln University.
