Racecourse Backpackers Hostel - the former Racecourse Horse Stables in Christchurch, New Zealand during the 1960s.
Stables converted to backpacker rooms in 2003. Has not been a motel. Many improvements made since our organisation was formed with this property acquired as a backpacker, youth hostel, budget hotel in 2009, after the conversion process.
The main building was built with classic solid triple bricks double storey structure. The backpacker/motel styled units were constructed using comtemporary building materials, formerly horse stables. Recently spectacularly refurbished without losing the charm of our buildings. Racecourse Backpackers Hostel was opened in the early 2000s with the goal of creating a home away from home like haven for our guests! Operated by knowledgeable staff with a foundation in the Real Estate Industry that is positive, professional and solution-driven to provide the very best service.
